OnePlus starts rolling out OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.8 update with system stability fixes, better network stability, and optimized call quality. The update included all the improvements and features of version 5.1.7 for Indian users, which means the OxygenOS 5.1.8 update will fix the bootloader vulnerability for Indian OnePlus 6 users.
A couple of days back, OnePlus rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.7 update for OnePlus 6, but it was paused for Indian users due to stability issues. The new update (version 5.1.8) is now available for all regions, including India. The OTA update starts rolling out and it will take some times reach on all devices.

If you own a OnePlus 6 and have not received the OTA notification for this update yet, check it by going to About phone > System Update. If no update found, use any APN app (for example, TunnelBear VPN) and set the location to Canada or Germany to get the OTA update right now.

You can also download and install the update manually as described below. First, download OxygenOS 5.1.8 update zip file (1.4GB) for your device from here and place it on your device’s internal storage.
Now, on your phone, go to Settings > System update > Settings (tap on cog icon on the top right corner) > Local upgrade. Locate the OxygenOS update zip file and tap “Install” to start the installation.
The update process will take few minutes. Once done reboot your device to boot into the latest Oxygen OS. (Source)
