LineageOS team has released first nightly build of LineageOS 15.1 for Moto Z2 Force. This might be a good news for Moto Z2 Force owners who are looking for something that offers even more than Motorola offers. LineageOS 15.1 brings Android 8.1 Oreo along with Lineage OS features and latest Android security patch.
Moto Z2 Force was recently updated to Android 8.0 Oreo, but there is no guarantee that whether the handset gets the Android 8.1 Oreo update. However, with LineageOS 15.1, users can enjoy Android 8.1 Oreo, Android P’s Lockdown for Power menu, Cyan accent to system theme, GDPR-compliant dialer, improved Contacts app, dark UI for File manager Jelly browser and much more.
Another new device that gets the LineageOS 15.1 support is Sony Xperia XA2. This handset is also running on Android 8.0 Oreo and Sony may update it to Android 8.1 Oreo shortly. However, if you want more customization and features, then the best way is LineageOS custom ROM.
In addition, along with many popular devices, both these devices will get the upcoming LineageOS 16, which will be based on Android P (Android 9.0).
