After being rolled out the Android 9 Pie update for second-generation Android One device Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, Xiaomi released Android 9 Pie Beta for first generation Mi A1. The update is now available for beta testers in regions like India. The Mi A1 Pie OTA update comes with build number PKQ1.180917.001.V10.0.2.0.PDHMIFK that is available for download now.
As you all know, Pie update will bring several new features like the Gesture Navigation, Adaptive battery and brightness, advanced notifications, Night theme and Digital Wellbeing. The Pie update for Mi A1 also includes December 2018 security patch, FM Radio, recommended apps and actions based on your context and more.
Xiaomi Mi A1 users who are signed up for Android Pie beta program start getting the OTA update. If not, check it by going to Settings > System updates > and check for OTA update. Stable version of Android 9 Pie for Mi A1 is expected to roll out soon, so stay tuned.
Meanwhile, Pie Beta OTA update file is now available for download. If your device is unlocked and installed TWRP recovery on it, then you can try sideloadng the build right away.
