Android 9 Pie based OxygenOS 9.0.4 for OnePlus 3 and 3T is released. This minor update carries June 2019 security patch, general bug fixes and system improvements. OxygenOS 9.0.4 OTA update starts rolling out now.
This is a staged rollout, so it will take a couple of days to complete the firmware update. Alternatively, download the full OTA from the link (end of the post) and flash it via Local Upgrade method.
The OxygenOS 9.0.4 release note does not mention anything new for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, but the latest security patches will enhance security on the device.

The first stable Android 9 Pie firmware update (OxygenOS 9.0.2) was released a couple of weeks back, but it paused sooner after the release due to critical bugs. Later, the company resumed the roll out as OxygenOS 9.0.3, but still some users reporting lags and other minor issues on their devices.
The new OxygenOS 9.0.4 update may improve overall performance of OnePlus 3 and 3T. Check for the OTA update by going to Settings > System update.
If you prefer manual installation, then download the OxygenOS 9.0.4 OTA zip file from below link and install it manually. We do not recommend manual method for non-techie.

After downloading the OTA zip file, transfer it to the phone storage (not in any folder), open the Settings menu, click System update and then click the top right settings icon.
Choose Local update, click on the firmware zip file and wait for the installation completes. The phone will boot after completing the process.
