Xiaomi Redmi Y2 was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo based MIUI 9.5, later the phone updated to MIUI 10. Now, Android 9.0 Pie update starts rolling out as MIUI 10.3.3.0.PEFMIXM for Redmi Y2. The Pie update caries several new features such as system-wide dark mode, customizable Lock screen clock, Dual 4G VoLTE, and more.

Xiaomi starts rolling out the MIUI 10.3.3.0 OTA update for Redmi Y2. As usual, it is a staged rollout, so it will take a couple of weeks to complete it. If you cannot wait for the OTA, download Android 9.0 Pie (MIUI 10.3.3.0) Recovery image for Redmi Y2 from below link and flash it manually.

Download and Install MIUI 10 OTA/Recovery on Redmi Y2/S2

To check and download the OTA update, launch the “Updater” app on your Redmi phone and tap on “Check for updates”. If the update found, tap on “Install” to download the OTA update.

Flashing guide

  • Download Recovery image file (link above) and save it on your phone’s storage.
  • Launch the Updater app on your phone (About phone > Update) and tap on menu (3 dots) located at the top-right corner of the screen.
  • In the menu, tap ‘Choose update package’ > select the ROM zip file that you just saved on the phone.
  • Your phone will start installing the ROM. Once done, your phone will reboot automatically.
