Viber Media has released its free VoIP calling app Viber for Windows and Mac OS X, which is already popular on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Now you can make free phone calls and send free text messages to any Viber user right from your desktop PC. However, note that to activate Viber on your desktop you must first have it installed on your mobile device.
The desktop version of Viber syncs your contacts, messages and call history with your mobile device and brings all the same features – best quality audio, simple and neat interface, stickers, emoticons and photos for texting, etc.
What is great with it is that besides the ability to call your friend’s mobile from the comfort of your desktop, you can even transfer calls between your computer and mobile device. Also, the desktop version supports Video calling, so you can video chat with other desktop viber user.
Installing Viber for Windows is quite easy. Download it from here, enter your phone number (you must first have Viber installed on your mobile device).
It’ll send you an activation code. Activate it and start connecting with your friends. That’s all.
