Gmail now lets you star your preferred contacts, which make it quick, and easy access to your most frequently used contacts. The main advantage of this feature is that starred contacts in Gmail will sync with your Android phone automatically. You can see them under your Favorite contacts on your phone. Here is how to star contacts in Gmail.

To star contacts in Gmail, sign in with your Gmail account. Click Gmail dropdown icon and choose Contacts (see below screenshot for details).

Now, you will see your contacts list. Next to each contact, you will see a white colored star. Just click the star. That’s all!

You can also star contacts from your Android phone. Run the Gmail app, then simply tap on the contact’s portrait in the email and then tap the star symbol on the contact list that appears.
