Xiaomi Redmi 4A starts getting the new MIUI 8.5.1.0 Global Stable update with several bug fixes, optimizations and a few new features. The update brings new fonts, instant backup option in Mi Cloud and image selection in the recent album. Redmi 4A will get the OTA notification for the new MIUI 8.5.1.0 MCCMIED Global stable ROM update in the coming days. Recovery and Fastboot images are also available for download for manual installation.

If you have not received the OTA notification for the new update on your device yet, you can check it manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update. If update found, download and install it.

How to Install MIUI 8.5 Global Stable ROM on Redmi 4A

Recovery Method:

1. Download MIUI 8.5.1.0 MCCMIED Global stable ROM recovery image [HERE] and save it on your Redmi 4A’s internal memory.

2. Launch the ‘Updater’ app on your phone, tap on 3 horizontal dots (…)at the top-right corner, select ‘Choose update package’ and then select the ROM file you have saved.

3. Your device will start updating and will reboot after finishing the update.

Fastboot Method:

1. Download MIUI 8.5.1.0 MCCMIED Global stable ROM Fastboot image [HERE] and follow this or this installation instruction.
