After being released the OygenOS Open Beta 3 for OnePlus 5T, the company now starts rolling out stable version of OxygenOS 5.0.2 OTA for the device. Based on Android 8.0 Oreo, this build comes with some updated apps, general bug fixes and improvements. Since the OTA is roll out in phases it will take few days to get on all device. If you prefer manual installation, OxygenOS 5.0.2 full firmware and OTA file is also available for download (link below).

OnePlus updated the Launcher, Gallery app, Weather app, and File Manager to new version with OxygenOS 5.0.2 update. Also, this update includes a CPU security patch, alongside general bug fixes and improvements. You can also notice new design for Quick Settings.

If you have not received the OTA notification for the update, Check it manually by going to Settings > System Updates > Check for OTA updates. If update found, download and install right away.

To get the OTA update early, you can use Opera VPN app to download the OTA update. In Opera VPN, change the location to Germany or Canada and check for OTA update.

If you prefer manual installation, OxygenOS 5.0.2 full firmware and OTA file is now available for download. You can install the update manually as described below.

How to install OxygenOS Update on OnePlus 5T manually

OTA Update Method:

1. Transfer the OxygenOS 5.0.2 OTA zip file on your phone’s memory.

2. Turn off the phone and boot into recovery (Use Power + Volume Down buttons).

3. In recovery, select ‘Apply Update’ and select ‘Choose from Internal Storage‘

4. Browse the OTA zip file (you just saved) and select it. The update will start and reboot automatically after finishing the update.
