Xiaomi recently released MIUI 10 9.8.22 beta ROM based Android Q for Redmi K20 Pro, but select users only. Xiaomi.eu released the MIUI 10 9.8.22 EU Beta for the global variant that you can download now. This guide let you know how to install the Android Q Beta based MIUI beta ROM on Redmi K20 Pro.
To install Android Q based MIUI 10 9.8.22 EU Beta ROM on Redmi K20 Pro you need to unlock the bootloader first. Go to Mi website and follow the instruction.
After unlocking the bootloader, download TWRP recovery for K20 Pro (twrp_raphael_K20PRO.zip) from here/here/here and install it via fastboot. Check our guide for detailed instruction.
Android Q beta installation guide
1. Download Android Q beta zip (MIUI 10 9.8.22 EU) to internal storage of Redmi K20 Pro (MD5: e19aa9f7b625467eaff98693830968ee)
2. Open Updater app, tap on 3-dots menu and select Reboot to Recovery.
3. In TWRP, select Wipe and FORMAT /data partition (Do not wipe System or Persist)
4. Select Install, navigate and select ROM zip file to flash it.
5. After installation, select Reboot and then System.
You have now successfully installed Android Q beta based MIUI 10 on your Redmi K20 Pro. Note that, we do not recommend this ROM for inexperienced users. This is the beta version of Android Q and may cause several issues on the device, so pay attention.
