Recently Lenovo rolled out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Vibe P2 (P2a42). However, if you unlocked Vibe P2’s bootlaoder and replaced the stock recovery with custom TWRP recovery, then there is good news. The Lineage OS team has released official LineageOS 14.1 build for Lenovo Vibe P2 that brings Android 7.1.1 Nougat and many value added features to the handset.
You can download and install LineageOS 14.1 on Lenovo Vibe P2 (code named kuntao) right now and experience all the features that the OS offers. As Vibe P2 is capable of running latest Android versions, owners of this device can also expect Android 8.1 Oreo based official LineageOS 15.1 build anytime soon.
Before start, note that this is the first nightly build of LineageOS 14.1, so it might include some bugs that are not yet identified. However, experience showed that nightly builds are almost stable and ready to be used as a daily driver.

LineageOS 14.1 Installation Instruction for Lenovo Vibe P2
1. Download LineageOS 14.1 (kuntao) from here.
2. Download Gapps zip file from here (Android 7.1/arm 64)
3. Transfer both zip files to your phone’s storage.
4. Switch off the phone and Power + Volume Up + Volume Down to boot into TWRP.
5. Tap ‘Backup’, select required partitions and create a backup.
6. Tap Wipe > Advanced Wipe > select Cache, System and Data partitions and swipe to wipe.
7. Tap Install, navigate and select LineageOS 14.1 zip file and swipe to flash it.
8. Once done, flash Gapps.zip file also.
9. Tap Reboot > System to boot your phone into new OS.
