1. Make sure your device is on the OPSS27.82-87-3 firmware.
2. Download the Android Pie OTA update zip from source [here] or [here]
3. Copy and paste it on your device’s root directory of internal storage.
4. Now, on your phone go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Show all apps
5. Click on 3 vertical dots menu on the top right corner of the display and then select Show system apps.
6. Now, search for the ‘Motorola Update Services’, app, click it and give storage permission.
7. Return to phone Settings > System updates > Check for update.
8. The latest Android 9.0 Pie update will show up on the phone. Just select it to install.
