All Android smartphones come with a lot of pre-installed apps. These apps are called system apps, and many of them are referred to as bloatware, as they are not used by most users. These system apps or bloatware are unnecessary for most users and can negatively impact battery life and device performance, as well as clutter the app screen.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to uninstall system apps or bloatware on any Android device using the Universal Android Debloater. Unlike regular apps installed from the Play Store, system apps or bloatware cannot be uninstalled directly; they require additional steps. However, with the Universal Android Debloater, you can easily remove them.

What is Universal Android Debloater
Universal Android Debloater (Next Generation) is an open-source software available on GitHub that helps you easily remove bloatware from your Android device withour root access. It will show you a list of all the apps installed on your device and sorts them into three categories: safe to uninstall, shouldn’t remove, and cause problems if deleted.
If you try to remove an important system app, the tool will warn you and suggest that you don’t uninstall it. Also, the tool may even block the uninstall option. You can enable this option in the tool’s Settings menu, but it’s not recommended.
Also, if you don’t want to permanently delete certain apps, the tool also lets you disable them, so you can reactivate them later if needed.
How to Remove Bloatware Using Universal Android Debloater
Before you start, make sure to back up your entire device. Additionally, before uninstalling or disabling a system app, double-check its functionality. While the tool does a good job of identifying safe apps to remove, it’s still a good idea to verify this on your end.
1. Enable USB Debugging on your device, and then connect it to your PC using a USB cable.
2. Download the Universal Android Debloater Next Generation Tool to your PC from GitHub, unzip it, and run the executable file.
3. Your device will be detected, and a list of bloatware apps will be displayed.
4. By default, the app will launch in Recommended Mode. In this mode, all listed bloatware is completely safe to remove.
5. Advanced, Expert, Unsafe, and Unlisted modes are also available, but they are not recommended for general users.
6. To uninstall an app, select the desired category from the drop-down menu and click Uninstall. To disable an app, go to the Universal Android Debloater Settings menu and select “Clear and Disable packages” instead of uninstalling them.
That’s all there is to using Universal Android Debloater to uninstall unwanted system apps from your Android device. Please note that extra care should be taken before uninstalling any system app, as it may cause a boot loop.
