Focus Mode is a new feature of Android Q, which take on to curb our phone usage. It is part of Digital Wellbeing and brings an easy way to quickly turn off distracting apps when you need times to focus.

Google introduced Digital Wellbeing with Android 9 Pie that brings a set of tools to know how often we unlock our phone and open our favorite apps, but actually doing something to control our phone use is another story.
That’s why Google is launching Focus Mode in Android Q, but since this is part of Android Q (Android 10), it won’t available on older Android versions.
ActionDash is an alternative for Google’s Digital Wellbeing for any Android versions (Android 5.0 and up), and it has its own uniqueness. The new ActionDash 3.0 brings Focus Mode, App usage limits, Usage Assistant, and enhanced theme.
How to use ActionDash and Focus Mode
Latest version of the app is available for download on Play Store. To use features like Focus Mode needs Plus version of the app. After installation, launch the app and grant required permission.
To use the Focus Mode, you need to bring its quick setting tile to the quick settings menu (Android Oreo). To do so, pull down the Quick Settings menu, tap the edit button and then drag the Focus Mode tile to it.
To add apps into this mode, tap the tile, select required apps and tap Turn on.
After putting distracting apps in focus mode, you can quickly enable/disable them from Quick setting tiles. An easy way to quickly turn off distracting apps – it is like putting Twitter, Facebook, WhatApp and Candy Crush into timeout.
Identify which apps are sucking up the most time using the App Usage feature and temporarily silence them while you need to get some work done.
When it’s time to play again, tap the Focus Mode tile again to turn them back on.
