Finally, Xiaomi has started beta testing Android 8.1 Oreo on Xiaomi Mi A1, the company’s first Android One smartphone. It is expected that the stable Oreo 8.1 update will be rolled to the phone by next month (July). In fact, Mi A1 Oreo 8.1 beta firmware (build OPM1.171019.019.V188.8.131.52.ODHMIFE) is available for download.
It has been over six months since Xiaomi rolled out Android 8.0 Oreo update for Mi A1, though it was suspended after a week due to stability issues. However, the company now started Android 8.1 Oreo beta testing, so Mi A1 users can expect the stable update soon, if everything went fine.
If you are a non-beta tester, but excited to get the Oreo 8.1 beta right now on your device, you can get it unofficially. Read on to know how to download and install Android 8.1 Oreo Beta manually on Xiaomi Mi A1, thanks to the XDA member logan9811 for sharing the file.
