Xiaomi’s latest Android One phone Mi A3 has received October 2019 security update. As many expect, the October update for Mi A3 is not based on Android 10. The OTA update carries the build number V10.3.8.0PFQMIXM and weighs around 277MB in size.
The October update log doesn’t mention any new features for Xiaomi Mi A3. The ‘Face Unlock’ option is now the only face unlock feature on the device for a better experience. The update will fix known vulnerabilities on the device. It will also include general bug fixes and optimizations.
The OTA update (build PKQ1.190416.001.V10.3.6.0PFQMIXM) start rolling out. If you don’t have the update yet on your Mi A3, check it by going to Settings > System > Advanced > System update.
Xiaomi Mi A3 is one of the very affordable Android One phones, which features 48 MP ultra-wide triple camera, AMOLED display, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and more. Launched with Android 9 out of the box, Mi A3 may get Android 10 updates in the coming weeks.
Google released the Android 10 in September. Like other OEMs, Xiaomi has also started rolling out Android 10 updates for its devices. Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 9SE, etc. have already received the update. However, we don’t have official information about any update roll-out process for Mi A3.
Another good news is that Xiaomi announced its latest MIUI 11 update, and the first rollout is scheduled to release on October 22, 2019. The global and EU variants of Redmi Note 7, Note 7S, Note 7 Pro, Redmi 7, 7A, Redmi K20, Mi 9SE, etc. will get the first MIUI 11 update on or after October 22. All supported devices will get the update by November 2019.
