What is Gemini Nano?

Gemini Nano is the smallest AI model designed to run on-device tasks on smartphones and other low-powered devices. Since it stays within your device, it eliminates the need of network connection every time you need a response from the AI, thus making response times much shorter.

Gemini Nano is capable of understanding and processing text, code, audio, images, and video. It brings enhanced functionality to the latest Pixel smartphone series. For example, it offers smart compose in Gboard, which can generate more human-like responses to text messages, meaning users do not need to type out replies to send.
