Google’s Web Fonts hosts hundreds of free eye-catching fonts that you probably don’t have on your hand. If you are looking a way to download these open-source fonts to your computer to expand your font collection and to use in your design works, documents or presentations, here is how you can do that.
Step 1: Visit Google Web Fonts at http://www.google.com/webfonts
Step 2: On the left side, you can filter your font choice by font category like serif, sans serif and handwriting, font style like width, thickness, etc. and font script like Latin, Greek, etc.
On the top right, you can select font size, sort fonts by popularity, trending, style, date added, etc, and choose to see fonts from one word, a sentence, or paragraph.
Step 3: Now, browse through the fonts by scrolling down the page.
Step 4: On the fonts that you would like to download, click the blue ‘Add to Collection’ button. You can add as many fonts as you like.
Step 5: After completing your collection, click the ‘Download your Collection’ (see screenshot above) link shown at the top-right hand corner.
Step 6: In the pop-up window that follows, click on ‘Download the font families in your Collection as a ZIP file’ (see screenshot below).
To add fonts to your system, just extract the downloaded ZIP file and add fonts to your system’s Fonts folder.
