The Lineage OS team has added more devices in the LineageOS 15.1 official list. Most of these devices are upgraded from LineageOS 14.1. The development team has also updated the LineageOS 15.1 build with November 2018 security patch and many changes. While, there is an unhappy news as well. The team dropped support for more than 30 devices.

There is a good news for custom ROM fans. The Lineage OS team is working on LineageOS 16.0, which is based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie. You can expect the official build for your device sooner or later.

The LineageOS 15.1, based on the Android 8.1 Oreo now supports following devices. Redmi 4, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra are the newly added devices in the list.

LeEco Le 2 (s2) – moved from 14.1
LG G2 d800, d801, d802 and d803 – moved from 14.1
Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra (discovery) (new)
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 (jason) (new)
Xiaomi Redmi 3S/3X (land) – moved from 14.1

LineageOS is one of the most popular custom ROMs available today (former CyanogenMod). A main advantage of this custom ROM is that it updates many devices to the newer version of Android OS even before the manufacturer has officially made available.

The development team dropped support for more than 30 devices. This is because of ROM maintainers for the particular devices are absent or not interested in maintaining them anymore.

Among the dropped devices, Moto Z2 and Redmi Note 5 are LineageOS 15.1 devices. All others are LineageOS 14.1 devices. List is given below.
