The red tint issue is disappointing many Galaxy S8/S8+ users, as it makes their beloved handset’s screen looks dull. Samsung has already rolled out a fix for the red tint issue in South Korea and Europe. The red tint fix is now available for Indian variant Galaxy S8/S8+ too. The update weighs 426Mb and features improved color optimization and convenient color management.

Galaxy S8/S8+ users in India will get the red tint fix update via OTA (over the air) with build version G955FXXU1AQDG/G950 FXXU1AQDG. However, it is said that the update will not fix the red tint completely. Users need to make a small change in the display settings to make it cool. After installing the update, users will get two new options, named ‘Full screen color balance’ and ‘Screen edge color balance’ – in the display settings menu.

The ‘Full screen color balance’ option lets you adjust the white balance of the main screen and the ‘Screen edge color balance’ lets you adjust the color balance on the edge screen. Both options let you fix the red tint.

If you are experiencing red tint or yellow tint even after installing the update (build version G955FXXU1AQDG/G950 FXXU1AQDG), you may need to make changes in the display settings. Here is how it is.

How to fix red tint in Galaxy s8/S8+

1. Open Galaxy S8/S8+ Settings menu and tap Display

2. Tap Screen mode and you will get four modes: Adaptive Display, AMOLED Cinema, AMOLED Photo and Basic.

3. To adjust color balance, select Adaptive Display mode and choose Full Screen Color Balance and Edge Screen Color Balance to adjust.
