OnePlus 7 Pro gets the OxygenOS 9.5.10 update with Double Tap to Wake fix. The update optimizes the experience of double tap to wake and Tap Screen to show feature on the device. OnePlus not yet announced the update through their community forum, but many OnePlus 7 Pro (GM21AA) units’ starts receiving the OxygenOS 9.5.10 OTA update.

The previous OxygenOS 9.5.9 update has reportedly ruined the double-tap to wake (DT2W) function on OnePlus 7 Pro. Many users reported the issue on the company’s community forum. The latest OxygenOS 9.5.10 update seems to fix the issue on the device.

This is not the first time the device stumble across this issue. There were Ambient Display and Double Tap to Wake issue on the device earlier, which fixed through OxygenOS 9.5.4 (global) and 9.5.5 (EU) update.

The OxygenOS 9.5.10 update log not yet officially announced. It seems that the 9.5.10 update will include all the changes of 9.5.9 update, alongside the double-tap to wake up functions (DT2W) fix, those who haven’t updated to 9.5.9. We will update this post with official changelog once it is available.

Download and Installation

To capture the OTA update early, use the Oxygen Updater app (unofficial). Check for the update in the System Update menu (Settings > System Updates > Check for OTA updates) if you haven’t received the update notification.

Alternately, download the full OTA update zip file from below link and install manually.

To install the firmware update manually, all you need to save the downloaded zip file in the root directory (not in any folder) of your OnePlus device.

Open the Settings app, click System updates menu, then tap on the top right settings icon and choose Local Upgrade. It will start searching for an upgrade package. Once you see an upgrade package, tap on it and then click the install option.
