The good old Nexus 5 receives the latest Android 9 Pie update, even though it is five-year old now. Thanks to the developer community, the unofficial AOSP 9.0 Pie port is now available for the phone (Nexus 5 AOSP 9.0.0 r3 Pie) with most features working. This might be a good news for those who would like to taste Google’s latest Pie update on their Nexus 5.

Nexus 5 AOSP 9.0.0 r3 Pie is an alpha build (aosp-hammerhead), so there might have several bugs and missing features in this ROM. The developer may fix those bugs in the following releases. However, the ROM includes latest security patch (patch level August 5, 2018) and features like Boots, Bluetooth, Network, and MTP are working.
