Google unveiled a new app called Spaces, aiming to provide a simple conversation space for a small group of friends, students, family or co-workers to share things about any topic quickly. Described as ‘small group sharing’, Spaces app is now available for Android, iOS and desktop and makes it easy to share anything – photos, text, video, etc. quickly without having to leave the app.
Spaces app is just like a group-messaging app, but what makes it special from similar apps is its integration with Google Search, Chrome, Photos and YouTube. It means you can search on any topic, find photos and videos within the Spaces app. That is, you do not have to switch between apps to get things when in a conversation.
Google Spaces is available on Android [HERE], iOS [HERE], desktop and mobile web [HERE] for all Gmail accounts. You can easily create a space for any topic and add friends or family to conversations in any way that you like – via messaging, email, or whatever – with a quick link.
Key features of Google Spaces
– Create a space for any topic in one tap
– Invite friends or family in any way that you like with a quick link
– Google Search, Chrome, Photos and YouTube built in to the sharebox
– Members of a space can comment on each post
– Quickly find anything in your spaces by searching keywords
The main intention behind Spaces app is to make group sharing super simple and get out of app switching to find things when you are in a group chatting. (Source)
