Asus has already begun Android Pie open beta for ZenFone Max Pro M2 in India. ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the most awaited device for the update, which is now available for the device. If you own a ZenFone Max Pro M1 ZB602KL or ZB601KL and meets the below requirements, then you can join the beta program now. . Asus will start full deployments of the stable Android 9 Pie update once the beta testing completes.

Apply for Android Pie beta for ZenFone Max Pro M1
1. Go to this web page to enroll beta program. Agree the terms and conditions.
2. Fill the application form with correct information – Your name, gender, nationality, email, mobile number, phone’s IMIE, serial number and all other required information.
3. Submit the form.
4. If you selected for the beta program, you will receive an email with beta firmware link and SOP document.

Download and Install Android Pie beta on ZenFone Max Pro M1
Interested users can install it on their device by downloading the OTA file (WW-16.2017.1902.037). To install the OTA, ZenFone Max Pro M1 (X00T/X00TD) should be on Android 8.1 Oreo with software build WW-15.2016.1902.340.
Interested users download the OTA zip file (1.5GB) from the XDA forum thread or directly from Asus server.
Installation Guide:
1. Make sure current firmware version of your phone is WW-15.2016.1902.340.
2. Transfer the downloaded firmware zip file (download link above) to root directory of your phone’s internal storage.
3. Reboot your phone. You should see firmware update notification pop up on the status bar.
4. Tap on System Update File Detected… and follow the steps shown to update the firmware.
