Update [11-5-2019] : Android Pie based ColorOS 6 update for Realme 1, 2, 2 Pro, C1 and U1 have officially announced. Realme 2 Pro will get the update by May 15, while Realme 1, 2, C1 and Realme U1 will get it by June 15. The company has confirmed that stable ColorOS 6 rollout will start once the beta testing is over. In that case, the user probably will get a stable ColorOS 6 update by the end of May and June.

Realme has already updated all of its existing phones to ColorOS 5.2, while the Realme 3 was launched with Android 9 Pie based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box. The good thing is that the company is more consistent when it comes to delivering the latest Android security patches for its phones. Therefore, users can enjoy enhanced security on their phone.
The company has already scheduled April 2019 security patches update for all of its phones. The roll out will complete by the end of April or early May, that is there will be two more updates for all Realme phones before the ColorOS 6.0 update, which is expect to release by mid or end of June 2019.
What’s new in ColorOS 6.0?
ColorOS 6.0 is based on Android 9 Pie and comes packed with new features and UI enhancements. Along with Android 9 Pie goodies, users can enjoy new App drawer (a most requested feature of Realme fans), full screen experience, Game Boost 2.0, Motorbike Mode, Night View 2.0, capture screenshot with fingerprint sensor and more.
Regarding the UI enhancements, the ColorOS 6.0 will feature a borderless design, a simpler user interface, lighter and gradient colors for the background, new Oppo Sans font and more.
AI power saving is another innovative feature of this update. Called AI cold storage or Application freezing learns the app usage and freeze the app if it isn’t using for 20 minutes. Oppo claims that this AI feature boost the battery performance up to six percent.
