Google released the stable version of Android 15 with several new features and improvements. Android 15 stable version OTA and full firmware downloads are available for Pixel 6 through Pixel 9 devices. The OTA update takes a few days to a week to get on all Pixel devices. If you cannot wait for the OTA, you can download and install the full OTA update manually on your device.

The Easy Way to Install the Android 15 Update

1. First, check for Android 15 OTA update on your Pixel phone by going to Settings > System > Software update > and tap “Check for updates” button.

2. If the update is available, you’ll be prompted to download and install the update. Once the installation is complete, your device will reboot into Android 15.

If the OTA update isn’t yet available, but want to update to Android 15 right now, here is how to download and install the full OTA update manually on your device.

How to Install Android 15 Stable Full OTA Update Manually on Pixel Phones?

1. Download the Android 15 stable full OTA update for your device (link) to your PC.

2. Next, boot your phone into Recovery mode using the Power button and Volume Up keys.

3. Select Apply update from ADB on your phone screen.

4. Now, connect your phone to your PC, open a command window, and run the command adb devices.

5. Your device should show up with “sideload” next to its name (if not, ensure you have enabled USB Debugging on your phone by going to Developer Option menu. Also, ensure Platform Tools installed on your PC).

6. Now, run the command adb sideload ota_file.zip (where ota_file.zip is the name of the file you have downloaded). It will start installing the update.

Android 15 OTA update installation will take about 15 minutes, so stay patient until the process finishes. Once the update finishes, reboot the phone by choosing Reboot system now.
