OnePlus has released the OxygenOS 3.5 Community build for the early adopters of OnePlus 3. Based on the Android Marshmallow, the ROM includes several system UI improvements, new and improved OnePlus apps, various customization options. Though the OxygenOS 3.5 comes with a few new additions, the main goal of this release is to improve the speed and frequency of updates.
Interested users can tryout the OxygenOS 3.5 update on their OnePlus 3 right now. Before start installing the update on OnePlus 3, note that the ROM is a community build and not ready to be used as a daily driver. Also note that, though you will receive future community OTA update for this ROM, you will not get official OTAs after flashing the community build. To get official OTA update, you need to clean install the stock OxygenOS.
What is new in OxygenOS 3.5 Community Build?

– Improved camera software
– More robust settings and customization features
Since this is a prerelease version of the firmware, you may experience bugs while using it. For example, System UI tuner is unstable, issue while using custom themes, etc. Also, it will not support Android Pay.
How to Flash OxygenOS 3.5 Community Build on OnePlus 3
Warning: Backup all data on the phone before flashing this ROM. The below guide is intended for tech-savvy users only. Install at your own risk.
Requirements:
– Unlocked bootloader
– ADB and fastboot drivers setup on your PC
Flashing Instructions
1. Download OxygenOS 3.5 Community build [HERE] and save it inside the folder where you have ADB is installed.
2. Reboot your phone into recovery mode. To do so, shut down the phone and turn it back on while holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
3. In recovery, choose “Install from USB” option and tap OK to confirm. A screen with “You are in sideload mode” will be displayed.
4. Connect your device to PC/Mac, run following command in command prompt/ terminal (from the ADB folder)
For Windows: adb sideload file name.zip
For Mac/Linux:./adb sideload file name.zip
5. Wait a while, your phone should now update to the selected build and reboot automatically to take you into OxygenOS. (Source – OnePlus)
