This year’s biggest Android update, Android 9 Pie is live now. Usually, non-Google phones don’t get the new Android version for months after they are released, but Essential was able to deliver the latest Android Pie at the same day as Google did for its Pixel phones. It seems that HMD Global has also started rolling out the update for its Nokia 7 Plus.

Android 9.0 Pie is smarter, simpler and more powerful. Gesture-based navigation, Adaptive battery, Adaptive brightness, Enhanced security, Refreshed notification, App Actions, App Slices, etc. are some of the best features of this update. If you own Essential PH-1 phone, here is how to download and install Android 9 Pie system image on it.
