Android 9 Pie based LineageOS 16 has been available for Asus ZenFone 2 Laser unofficially. This build supports both ZE550KL (Z00T) and ZE551K (Z00L) variants of ZenFone 2 Laser. Official LineageOS 16 is not yet released, but if you would like to test the Android 9 Pie right now, then download and flash the unofficial LineageOS 16 build via custom TWRP recovery.
LineageOS 16 for ZenFone 2 Laser is an initial build and contains several bugs. Though essential things, such as RIL (Calls, SMS, Data), VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Camera, etc. are working fine, the ROM cannot be used as a daily driver. The developer may fix all the bugs and release a more stable version of LineageOS 16 for the device.
