The recent Nothing OS 3.0 update added a few new features to the Phone 2(a). One of the new options is checking the battery health and charging cycle count on the phone. This two information can help you determine the level of battery deterioration in your device.

The Nothing Phone 2(a) running on the Nothing OS 3.0 (beta) has a Device Diagnostics feature that lets you check the battery health and charging cycle count. This feature was part of Android 15, but Google didn’t include it in the stable version of Android 15. Knowing the charging cycle count is an important information. It helps you know your battery’s current health. It show how often you charge the battery and drain it with usage. The more charge cycles, it means relatively lower the battery health.

How to Get Long Battery Life on Your Nothing Phone?

A good charging habit is always required to extend your smartphone’s battery lifespan. Battery life can deteriorate if it has changed from 0 to 100% daily. It is a proven fact that limiting charge to a lower capacity, 70% to 90%, can extend the battery lifespan.

To keep your Nothing Phone’s battery in good health, adopt a good charging habit or try to keep it between 40-80% and charge when required. Also, do not charge the device in hot environment.

Also, there is an intelligent battery charging protection feature on Nothing Phone. If you prefer to charge your phone overnight or for long hours, the Smart Charging Mode can protect your battery.

You can access these settings by going to Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Turn on Smart Charging Mode, if you charge your phone overnight to preserve long-term battery life.
