After months of waiting, Motorola has started rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Droid Turbo. Verizon Droid Turbo users will receive the OTA (over the air) update shortly on their device which will update the device from 4.4.4 KitKat to 5.1 Lollipop. As the firmware is rolled out in phases, it will take few days to reach the update on your device.

If you have not received the OTA update notification for Android 5.1 on your phone, you can check it manually by going to phone’s settings -> about phone -> system update. However, your Droid Turbo should be running on stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat with locked bootloader.
