It is the Chinese version of the company’s global OxygenOS 11, and it brings several new features, new UI design, and the much-awaited Always-on display. HydrogenOS 11 Features

The HydrogenOS 11 (for China without Play services) and OxygenOS 11 (for the rest of the world) are similar when it comes to feature-set. So, we can expect most of the new HydrogenOS 11 features, such as the brand new Always On Display, inclusive design, smart gallery, Zen Mode 2.0, redesigned weather app, improved dark mode, ORM memory management system, etc. in OxygenOS 11.

Always-on display, which OnePlus fans have been asking for years, is the main attraction of HydrogenOS 11. There are two themes for the AOD screen – the picture shadow theme and the Time theme. The picture shadow theme converts pictures into a wireframe drawing that is displayed on your phone along with time and other information. The Time theme has a very minimal design with a single gradient line in the middle.

HydrogenOS 11 Release Date and Eligible Devices

HydrogenOS 11 will be available for OnePlus 6 and later devices. OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will get the stable version in Q4 2020. OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T will successively get the update.
