Google’s new Android 11 beta is here, and it carries several new features and includes new APIs. Enhanced privacy protection, advanced app permissions, speech bubbles, pinhole and waterfall screens support, variable display refresh rate support, angle detection for foldable smartphones, network APIs, 5G APIs, etc. are some of the new features of Android 11.

Messaging Bubbles: Messaging Bubbles was a feature of Android 10 Beta, but Google pulled it in the final build. It is back again with Android 11, and this advanced multitasking feature allows users to interact with app notifications quickly, easily while using other apps. With it, you can message someone while using other apps by tapping on the bubble.
Built-in screen recorder: The screen record tool is finally available with Android 11. You can access it from the Quick Settings panel. There are options to enable microphone and touch interactions to your recording. Your screen recordings will save to the camera roll, where you can then edit and share your video.
New music controls in Quick Settings panel: The new music control interface in the quick settings panel looks beautiful. In previous versions, it was in the notification shade. If you expand the panel, you will get new options to control the music playing. Note that, in Android 11 beta, this is an experimental feature, which you can enable from the Developer Options menu.
New power menu: Android 11 beta features a new, improved power menu. Long-press the power button will bring up the new quick controls screen. It gives quick controls for smart home devices, your Google Pay card, and power button options. You can add or remove smart home devices from this screen.
Android 11 release timeline:
After the three developer preview builds, Google starts releasing the public beta builds. Before the final build, there will be two beta builds, and the first beta build is now live. The stable build is expecting to release Q3 of this year (probably in October 2020 along with Pixel 5 smartphone).
