On OnePlus phones, all photos and videos are saved in the Gallery app by default. Anyone can see all the stored images and videos by opening the app. Now, OnePlus starts introducing a new feature to hide photos in the Gallery app, which is useful to protect your private photos from snoopers. Here is how to get this feature right now on your OnePlus phone.
The hide feature is available with OnePlus Gallery app version 3.4.4. This version is a part of Android Q beta 3 for OnePlus 6, 6T, OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. However, you can download and install the OnePlus Gallery 3.4.4 APK right now on any OnePlus phone running stable OxygenOS 9.5 update.
Note that though the current version of Gallery app V3.4.4 lets you hide photos and videos, it doesn’t have any protection. We hope that OnePlus may add a password, pin or fingerprint security feature in a future update.
How to hide a photos in OnePlus Gallery
Download OnePlus Gallery APK V3.4.4 from APK Mirror and install it on your phone.
To hide a photo or video, all you need to tap the three-dot settings menu from image view of Gallery app and select the Hide option. You can select individual or multiple photos/videos to hide. The hided media files will put in the “Hidden Collection” section.
To see the hidden images, go to the main screen of the app, tap on the tree-dot button and select Hidden Collection.
Along with usual features, OnePlus Gallery v3.4.4 has an enhanced photo editor mode as well. You can edit your photos and screenshots quickly and easily. Also, the app has support for Shot on OnePlus community feature.
