As you may know, the Quick Settings drawer in Android 7.0 Nougat is customizable. You can add, remove or arrange tiles on it. In addition, as told in a previous post, it even supports third-party app tiles. What is more, now you can now add widgets too. The Quidgets app lets you add widgets to Quick Settings drawer in Android 7.0 Nougat – no root access is required.
If you would like to add widget tiles to your Quick Settings menu on Android 7.0 Nougat running phone, you can do it simply with a little, free app called Quidgets. By putting widgets on the quick setting drawer, you can access your widgets by just swiping down from the top of the screen. Also, you do not need to mess up your home screen by adding too many widgets and app shortcuts.
Installing and setting up Quidgets app is simple. It will not add any shortcut to app drawer. It only adds to the Quick setting menu list. Read on to how to set up and use the app.
How to Add widget tile to Quick Settings on Android Nougat
1. Download and install the Quidgets app from Play Store [HERE]
2. It will add 5 tiles to the Quick Settings edit menu list, which means you can add 5 widgets to Quick setting drawer.
3. To add a widget to the Quick setting drawer, swipe down the Quick Settings men and tap ‘Edit’.
4. From the available list, drag a Quidgets tile to the quick settings menu list.
5. To assign a widget to it, tap on it, select ‘Pick a widget and select desired widget. That is it!
Note that, though the app has some drawbacks like a showing a single email in the Gmail widget, some of you may love its features. Also, though you can access the Quick Settings menu even from the lock screen, you will not be able to use the widget functions without unlocking your device. (Source – AP)
