To enable Google Assistant in the search bar for Nova launcher, long press the search bar and choose edit option. Scroll down and under content select Voice search and Assistant.
To enable Android 9 Pie like App animation, go to Nova Settings (long press Home screen and choose Settings) > Look & feel > App animato > and choose ‘Pie-like’ from the available options.
