MKTwitter is a handy utility to backup twitter messages on your hard drive. You can download your own tweets or others that you find useful and can be saving them in an access database file.
The application is extremely simple to use. Just run it (no installation required), enter the Twitter username of the person whose tweets you want to back up (no password is needed) and click ‘Get Tweet’ button.
The program is in its early stage. I found that the included search function is not working properly. Besides, there is no guarantee that the program can download beyond the 3,200-tweet archive limit set by Twitter.
