The first public beta of Android Q is now available for all Google Pixel smartphones including the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, and Pixel 3 XL. The final stable build of the Android Q, probably be known as Android 10, is expect to release in early August 2019. Before the final build, there will be six Android Q beta builds. Here is the timeline and updates.
Like Android 9 Pie before it, the first Android Q beta is released in March 2019. The first build is meant for early adopters and a preview SDK for developers. The second beta will release in early April and third beta will release in early May. The fourth beta will release in early June with final APIs and the official SDK.
Periods between July and September are very important for Android Q. There will be two beta updates before the final roll out in the third quarter of the year. These builds are release candidates for testing and final testing. The final stable build will be released by early August 2019, if they follow the previous update pattern.
