Xiaomi brings a new feature called ‘Screen Usage Time’ to its Android smartphones with the latest beta update. Available with MIUI 10 v9.4.18 Global Beta update, Screen Usage Time’ is a substitute for Google’s Digital wellbeing and help users manage how much time they are spending on their phone.

Users can enable the Screen Usage Time from Settings menu and set screen time alert. It will show you the number of time phone was unlocked, the number of notification received for the entire week or day through a graph.

Google introduced Digital Wellbeing as a part of Android 9 Pie update and it will not available on older Android versions. Other popular OEMs have their own version of Digital Wellbeing, for example, Digital Balance on Huawei/Honor phones.

The latest MIUI 10 9.4.18 Global Beta update also improves various camera features. It optimizes the beauty cam and filters interactive experience, rearrange short video and slow-motion options, filters and beautifies options works in Photo, Portrait, and Short video modes.

This week update improves fingerprint unlock experience. Now you can use the fingerprint instead of the password to unlock to see notification messages.
