Finally, T-Mobile LG V30 starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo update as software version H93220h. Currently, it is available through LG Bridge and the company will soon roll out the OTA update to all users. How to use LG Bridge to update LG phone
1. Download LG Bridge app and install it on your PC
2. Run LG Bridge on PC and then connect your phone to your PC via a USB cable.
3. Under Software update tab look for new update.
4. If update found, click Start to download and install the firmware.
How to use LGUP app to install firmware update (.kdz file) on LG phone
1. Download T-Mobile V30 Oreo update (.kdz file) from XDA here (software version H93220h)
2. Download and install LGUP and Uppercut on your computer
3. Reboot phone into Download Mode
4. Open LGUP app by running the Uppercut software as administrator. Your device will detect automatically.
5. Select ‘Upgrade’ under ‘Process’.
6. Under File path, enable Bin file, click on three dots and select the KDZ file
7. Press on start to begin installation. Your phone will reboot several times. This is normal.
