Like Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has also native voice call recording feature, but deactivated the feature for specific reason. However, rooted Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users can enable the native voice call-recording feature, if this feature is legal in your country.

There is plenty of third-party apps available on play store in both free and premium features for recording voice calls, but if you like the official way to get the feature, read on to know how to enable native voice call recording feature on rooted Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The method discovered by the XDA contributor Tiboric adds a record button on call screen.

Following prerequisites are needed to enable built-in call recording feature on Galaxy S6. Your device must be rooted, a root explorer app installed and a text editor. You can use ES File Explorer, which is a free download on Play store.

How to enable native voice call recording Feature on Galaxy S6/S6 Edge

1. Open ES File Explorer, enable Root Explorer and then navigate to system/csc/others.xml and open the others.xml file with ES Note Editor.

2. Now add the below line at the end of the ‘others.xml’.

<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>

3. Save and exit the editor. Then reboot your phone.

[Note: If others.xml file does not exit, you need to create a text file inside the csc and rename to text file to others.xml]

Make a phone call. You should see a record button. By simply pressing the record button the phone will record the phone call. Press the button again to stop recording. A word of caution though, recording your own phone calls may not be legal in your country (Source – Tiboric).
