Google’s Web Suggestions are a nice way to improve the speed of your typing in your Android phone, but it is nice only if you have a reasonably fast handset. However, if you are one of the less fortunate Android users who using a low end phone, considering disabling Web Suggestions is also nice.
Because, disabling Web Suggestions can really help improve your mobile browser’s speed, especially if you are using an Android phone with low specs.
To disable Web Suggestions, press the Menu button, and then tap Settings –Search – Google Search. Then tap the checkbox beside Show Web Suggestions.
Unfortunately search options are not available on my EVO. Sucks I hate how I cant edit a url in the addressbar without the suggeations taking over and making it difficult to complete my edit. If I wanted my device to dictate what I want to do and what URL I want to visit, I would just buy an iPhone.
Nice tutorial, simple and unique! Thanks for sharing.
