As you all know, the open-source Android developers’ community, CyanogenMod is now dead and switched to new Lineage OS. However, unofficial CyanogenMod builds are still available and the latest one is for Xiaomi Mi4i. The unofficial CyanogenMod 14.1 (code named ferrari) brings the latest and the sweetest Android 7.1.1 Nougat to Xiaomi Mi4i. Interested owners of Mi4i can flash CM14.1 and enjoy new features, stock UI and more.

The status of CM14.1 for Xiaomi Mi4i is Beta, however, there were no major bugs in this ROM. Major components of the phone (Wi-Fi, RIL, Calling, Camera, Cell data, etc.) are fully functional. If you are ready to face few issues, then read on to know how to flash CM14.1 on your device.
Note: Before start, backup entire data you have on the device. Also, make sure you have a stock system image to flash back to. Make a system backup from TWRP recovery before proceeding.
Note: To install unofficial CM14.1 on your device require latest version of TWRP recovery and root access on the phone.
How to install CM14.1 (Android 7.1.1) on Xiaomi Mi4i
Disclaimer: Follow the guide at your own risk. We will not be responsible for any damage that occurs. The guide is intended for technically talented users only.
1. Download CM14.1 (Ferrari) (cm-14.1-20161222-UNOFFICIAL-ferrari.zip) from here/source. Also, download Android 7.1 compatible Gapps package from here.
2. Transfer both zip files to your device’s SD card.
3. Turn off your phone and boot into TWRP recovery by pressing Power + Volume Down buttons together.
4. In TWRP, perform a full wipe (cache, dalvik cache, data/factory reset) by selecting ‘Wipe’ option.
5. Now, flash CM14.1 zip file and Gapps zip file. To do so, select ‘Install’, navigate to ROM zip file and swipe to confirm flash. Repeat the same for Gapps as well.
6. Before rebooting, once again wipe cache partition and data, and then reboot your phone.
Note: The first boot will takes around 10 – 20 minutes. Once booted up, set up your Mi4i and enjoy Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Any question? Leave it in the comment section below (source – Rohan purohit)

delete cache and dalvik cache in recovery and try. If it did not helped, check your ROM and flash again
When I’m finished this all steps and reboot it shows mi(mi.com) boot animations repeats again and again,please help me to solve this prblm
CM 14.1 has in-built root access, but disabled by default. You can enable it from Developer Options. You can install the Resurrection Remix ROM without ny issue.

I have installed the CM 14.1 ROM using TWRP Recovery on my Mi 4i. The software is working fine. I am thinking to install Resurrection Remix ROM on to my device to get a feel of that ROM.
Then I checked the root of my device using Root Checker App and it shows root is not installed on my device. So I installed King Root but I am unable to get root access to my device. So then I checked TWRP Recovery is present in my device. To my surprise, TWRP Recovery is present in the default recovery.
So can I install Resurrection Remix ROM into my device using TWRP Recovery without rooting my device again. Or please give me a solution to root my device again. Please reply me at the earliest. Thanking You and Wishing You a Happy and Prosperous Day.

Rebooting means the ROM is not installed properly. Either reinstall the factory image or download correct LineageOS 14.1 ROM and flash via TWRP recovery
It’s still not working after wiping dalvik cache ans Cache … it’s rebooting again and again … Is there any solution to that?
either restore stock MIUI ROM or flash LineageOS 14.1. These may fix your issue?
Hi.. Installed cm14.1 unofficial on mi4i..

2. The home and back buttons of mi are not working anymore, the default google one have arrives which displays on the screen

after flashing those 2 files and after rebooting it shows mi logo but doesnt goes any further……what to do now….??????reply fast
