Like most Android phones, LG G4 has also a diagnostic menu (service menu), which lets you check the phone for various issues like non-responsive screen, faulty LCD, accelerometer, camera, speaker, and more. You can use this diagnostic menu to check touchscreen issues in your LG G4.

Touchscreen issues may happen either by software bugs or by the touch panel itself. While the software related issues could be fixed by a software update, the touch panel issues can only be fixed by replacing it. However, the procedure described below does not help you fix the both issues.

How to Check Touch Responsiveness of Your LG G4

1. Open the dialer app and enter the code 277634#*#. This will open the Service Menu.

2. Now, go to Device Test -> Service Menu -> Manual Test -> Touch Draw Test -> Manual.

3. On the screen, touch/tap/knock/slide. Repeat this few times. If you do not see any red marks, it means that your phone has failed to recognize your touch.
