To create a ringtone from one of your favorite songs, after installation (required internet connection for installing the app) run ringtone maker. Drag and drop a MP3 song into the program window and click next.

To convert your Android or iPhone into a game controller, you need an app called WanderPlayer for your PC and mobile device. This app turns your phone into a gamepad for hundred of free online games. The app is free and works for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Step 1: Download WanderPlayer app for your computer and install it. Then download the mobile version for Android (from Google Play) or iPhone (from App store) and install it. Once both versions are installed, run the app on your computer.

Step 2: With the program running on your computer, start the WanderPlayer app on your mobile device. Enter your e-mail address and name (this is only for feedback purposes) when prompted.

Step 3: Tap the ‘More’ tab at the bottom of the screen (on Android), tap on Consoles and select your computer from the list. (On the iPhone version, Consoles can be selected in the Consoles tab).

Verdict: Installation and playing games are simple and smooth. However, I have found an issue on my Windows PC. When launching games, it always launches in Chrome and in full screen mode. I couldn’t find an option to close Chrome other than task manger.

Here is how to setup personal cloud storage and access your files from anywhere on iPhone, Android or a PC using a free app called Bdrive. It is quite simple use; just require only two steps to complete the work.

Firstly, set up Bdrive Server on your PC or Mac. For that, download and install the Bdrive Server app (27MB) on your computer and run it.

Click ‘Add’ button to add folders (e.g. My Documents) that you would like to share. Each folder has its own Bdrive server ID (BID). BID is a 6-character identifier randomly generated, which is required to access your folder from Bdrive clients, so note it down. You can also set password for each folder, which is optional.

Secondly, set up Bdrive Client for your iPhone, iPod, Android or Windows PC.

For iPhone and iPod touch, install the Bdrive app from the iTunes App Store (it is free). Add the BID you want to access by clicking the + button.

For Android, install the Bdrive app from the Android Market. Then, add the BID you want to access by clicking the ‘Add BID’ command in options menu.

You can now download PC files and photos to your iPhone or Android by clicking the ‘Download’ button. You can upload your iPhone/Android files and photos to your PC by clicking the ‘Upload’ button.

For Windows, install the Bdrive client for Windows from developer’s download page. Add the BID you want to access by clicking the ‘Add’ button. The drive letter is set to ‘B:’ by default, but you can change it to any available letter (Windows only).

Now you can browse through your files in Windows explorer like a hard drive.

Based on your device’s current battery charge, BatterySense shows what functions such as playing video and music, gaming, etc of your device (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad) can use and for how long. It also suggests ways to preserve battery charge based on how long you need your battery to last.

BatterySense is quite simple to use. The app’s main screen displays your current battery charge.

Tapping a button shows you estimated time remaining for the most common activities including: Talk time (for iPhone), Internet calling (for iPod Touch), eBook reading (for iPad), Internet use, Audio Playback, Video playback, Standby time, Game play and Time until fully charged.

However, all these are depending on a combination of factors, including your battery’s age. Moreover, BatterySense doesn’t actually turn any settings on or off. You can follow BatterySense suggestions by simply browsing to your device’s Settings.
