For the first time, Microsoft demonstrated an early preview of the next version of its operating system code-named Windows 8 at the D9 conference. The video shows off many features of the new interface that Microsoft has built for the new OS.
The interface looks like Zune/WP7’s tiled Metro UI and is designed and optimized for touch screen (however, Microsoft confirmed that the UI works well with a mouse and keyboard as well).
