Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (Kenzo) gets new MIUI 8.5.3.0 Global Stable ROM update. Global beta stable build of MIUI 8.5.3.0 is now available for select Redmi Note 3 users for testing and it will be released to the public once it is ready. The incremental OTA (over-the-air) update is starting to roll out now and all eligible devices (Snapdragon variant Redmi Note 3) will get the update in the coming days.

Recently, Xiaomi released MIUI 8.5.1.0 and MIUI 8.5.2.0 for Redmi Note 3, but suspended for oblivious reasons and released MIUI 8.5.3.0 update. This build is still based on Android Marshmallow and includes various optimizations and bug fixes. Early adopters can test the ROM right now by downloading the firmware file.

MIUI 8.5.3.0 global beta stable build recovery image and OTA update is now available for download (courtesy to XDA member BlueJeans). Tech-savvy users can try the ROM right now. For installing OTA update, your Redmi Note 3 should be on MIUI 8.2.4.0.

Before going for manual installation, go to ‘Updater’ app on your phone and check for the new updates. To install the MIUI 8.5.3.0 update manually, it requires some technical skill. If your phone is on stock MIUI ROM, you can easily install the update via recovery.

How to install MIUI 8.5 on Redmi Note 3

The below given file supports Xiaomi Redmi Note3 Snapdragon variant only and beta build. Do not try it on any other Xiaomi Device. Also, make sure at least 60% battery charge remaining on the phone.

1. Download MIUI 8.5.3.0 recovery image (1.1GB) from here

2. Follow this installation instruction to flash the ROM on your device.
