Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched with Android 7.1.2 Nougat based MIUI 9 skin. This budget phone is now getting new software update (MIUI 188.8.131.52 Global Stable ROM) with new features, several optimizations and bug fixes. Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM V184.108.40.206 OTA (over the air) update to Redmi 5A, which will get on your device in the coming days.
MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM v220.127.116.11 Recovery image and Fastboot ROM are also now available for Redmi 5A. These files let you install the update manually on your phone without waiting for the OTA update. Below is what is now in this update and how to download and install the update on these devices.
