The just launched OnePlus 3 already has the first CyanogenMod 13 ROM, albeit unofficial. Released by the recognized developer Grarak, this unofficial build of CM 13 supports all variants of OnePlus 3, and ready to download and install. It means, like the OnePlus 2, the OnePlus 3 is also a developer friendly and highly customizable phone with unlockable bootloader.
The unofficial CyanogenMod 13 custom ROM can be installed on OnePlus 3 via custom recovery with unlocked bootloader (you can unlock the bootloader via fastboot, but it will wipe your device and lose manufacturer’s warranty). If you want to try the ROM, go to the OnePlus thread [HERE] and follow the instruction.
Note that still there are things that do not work, but it is certain that the ROM will be fine-tuned for daily use, when you have the device.
OnePlus 3 comes packed with 2.2GHz + 1.6GHz Kryo Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB internal memory (UFS 2.0 Flash Storage), 3,000 mAh battery, Optic AMOLED 5.5-inch display with full HD (401 ppi) 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, ceramic-coated fingerprint scanner, 16MP primary camera and 8MP front camera.
Running on the Oxygen OS based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 operating system, OnePlus 3 features ‘Dash Charge’, which set the new benchmark for quick charging solution. A 30 minutes charge will give a full day power to your phone.
The price of this premium handset is still extremely competitive amongst other flagships. In India, OnePlus 3 will be available exclusively at Amazon.in for Rs. 27,999.00 (64GB variant) (Source – 1, 2, 3)
