Xiaomi is all set to release the stable version of MIUI 8 Global ROM on August 23, after a series of announcement and postponement. Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G will be the first batch of devices getting the MIUI8 OTA (over-the-air) update on August 23rd. Updates for the rest of supported devices will be released gradually. Note that, Xiaomi will also release the Chinese version of MIUI 8 on the same day (August 23). 

Runs on top of Android Marshmallow, the MIUI 8 ROM comes with a new colorful design, cool features like second space, dual app support for most apps, long screenshots, new Calculator app, quick ball, new templates for Notes, redesigned Gallery app, Smart menu for editing text, one-handed mode, secure folder, etc.

It seems that Xiaomi has solved all the issues led to the postponement of MIUI 8 stable ROM release. So, Xiaomi smartphone users can enjoy several new features, experience new design, after installing the new update.
